My attempt at pouring water into a glass. My glass wasn't round at the bottom so I didn't get the effect I was looking for, but it still looks kinda neat. Now to find the perfect glass. :)

The Moon!

Taken at 12:30 am this morning. I came home from work a little early so decided to try and take some pics of the moon, it looked so neat with the colored rings around it. They're not the greatest pics, but I didn't want to try anything else because it was very cold outside and the porch was like a sheet of ice so I could barely move. So with only the lens I had on my camera and trying to change the settings in the dark with only the light of the moon, this is what I got.
I'll have to try again when it gets warmer out :)

This is what I was doing very early this morning, from about 12:30-1:30 am. You can't tell there is much difference unless you're there :)

One of those little stick people is TJ :) at soccer practice, while I sit and wait in my car (and go to Costco for mom)! This was straight after a day of school and 3 hours of gymnastics. This is the last Monday he has to do this :) next week will be back to normal, (soccer practice only on Wednesday nights :).

Ok, I decided to do something a little more interesting today :) I thought I would try my hand at water droplet photography. I used a very simple set up for my first attempt.

As you can see I used a red background for a few of these.

 

I tried blue and then red food coloring.

 

And I tried multiple droplets. It was very rare that they dropped at exactly the same time.

Well this was fun. Maybe one day I will try again, but with a better background and my camera on a tripod :) and more colored water or even milk or something :)

Wow, I can't believe I just went through $50 worth of gas in only 2 days!

Almost forgot to post a pic today! Came home from work tonight and the house smelled so nice. Danika was just finishing baking these yummy 'Healthier Chocolate Chip Cookies' with oats and a hint of cinnamon. Mmm, they're so good. Goodnight!

This afternoon when I dropped TJ off at gym I could see the sun's rays coming down. I love when that happens. Unfortunately my cell phone did not capture the rays, but you can see where the sky opened up to let the sun shine through.

 

TJ enjoying some apple crisp after a day of school, then straight to gymnastics for 3 hours and then straight to soccer practice for an hour and a half. Busy boy!
